Staff Banquet: A goodbye with some Christmas cheer
Woodstock staff came together for a final goodbye dinner before the end of the semester on Tuesday, December 15th at the Staff Banquet in the Quad Dining Hall. It was a night of games, musical performances, gift-exchange, farewells, and feasting.
Following snacks in the Lyons Lounge area, some of the staff members were ushered by the night's MCs Greg Miller and Dave Boven into the Quad for a game of 'Piñata'. After numerous attempts, the piñata was finally shattered by a powerful swing by Ajay Mark!
A lavish dinner awaited all at the Quad Dining Hall, which was accompanied with several individual musical performances as well as performances by the Hindi Choir, the Staff Brass Band, and the full Staff Choir, led by Nicole Farley.
The staff 'Angel-Mortal' gift exchange was also held, where the participating staff members gave their final gifts to their delighted 'mortals'.
Finally, there were two important goodbyes said to staff leaving at the end of the semester. Jim and Betsy Lehman, who have been involved with Woodstock at many different times over the course of four decades, were bidden farewell. Cathy Holmes, the school's Director of Admissions and staff member here for nearly 37 years has also finished her tenure with Woodstock, and the members of the Woodstock family said their final goodbyes to her.
The final staff meetings were held on Wednesday, December 16th.
We wish all the members of the Woodstock family a good holiday. The school re-opens next semester with staff meetings on February 1, 2010.
