Australian Author, Jane Jolly visited Woodstock School on August 4 on her way to the Traveling Children's Literature Festival, Ghummakkad Narain. Ms Jolly will present an author talk at the Dehradun Festival. Woodstock Junior Students listened to Ms Jolly and her long time friend Marina Duffie describe her perseverance in becoming a published author. Limpopo Lullaby, Glass Tears and All the Bold Heart captured multicultural heroes in each of the vividly illustrated picture book, copies of which she donated to the school library. Ms Jolly, a junior school teacher in Australia, described her two days spent at Woodstock as "Incredible, what an amazing learning environment". Woodstock Junior students told Ms Jolly and Ms Duffie the story of Woodstock's monkey population. "I think I have an idea for a new story from visiting Woodstock today entitled, Good Monkeys and Bad Monkeys" Ms Jolly said. (Click here for Jane's website.)
