New staff for 2009
Woodstock school is pleased to have several new staff on campus. The Woodstock community welcomes each new member of staff and is enjoying getting to know their new colleagues.
Kirsten Bradby bears a name that some of our alumni may recognize. Daughter of the former Principal, Hugh Bradby, Kirsten comes to Woodstock to work as an assistant to the Director of Admissions, Cathy Holmes. After her brothers Mark and Robin came to Woodstock last year for an extended holiday, Kirsten decided to take a break from her law career in London and return to her former home at Woodstock. Her intuitive knowledge of Woodstock will be a great help in the Admissions office.
Elsa Amy comes to Woodstock from her home nation, France. She is an experienced French teacher and will be teaching in both middle and high school. Elsa is already having a great time with her grade 9 advisees, which was put to the test when she chaperoned the grade 9 overnight at the Hanifl Centre. It was a success for all! Elsa brings her great enthusiasm and fun to all of her new French students and to the Woodstock community.
Gregory Miller, a proud Minnesotan, joins Woodstock to teach high school Religious Education. He has taught a range of subjects in his homeland of St Paul, Minnesota as well as in Torreón, Mexico. In addition to his interest in religion and culture, he enjoys cooking, film and a mean game of Trivial Pursuit.
Tamara Cavanna, a UK teacher, taught science for a short time a year ago, to help us out in an emergency. We are delighted to welcome her back to a full-time post after a period teaching in another Mussoorie school.
Sareena Pun worked at Woodstock for a period two years ago, and has rejoined us as an HR officer. Vandana Lal, whose sister Arpana has been at the school for some time, joined as office assistant to the principal's secretary. Zeenat Ansari was a part-time Hindi assistant last year - and also gave lessons to many staff. She is now a full-time member of the languages department. Finally, Prateek Santram has joined the middle school residence staff. We wish them all a happy and fulfilling experience.
