Baccalaureate and graduation

Another year, another graduating class. The 76 members of "Tenacious", the Class of 2009, left the campus a couple of hours ago after another memorable conclusion to the school year. From Salutatorian Tenzing Namtse Lama's opening remarks to the closing speeach by Valedictorian Indira Laothamatasm, the Commencement ceremony was appreciated by all. Musical items were contributed by Pinmanee Eowpittayakul, performing brilliantly on the santoor after only 12 months' tuition, and Tomo Miura on violin. The address was given by Miss Kathy Hoffmann, in her final duty before leaving Woodstock after 25 years.

Yesterday was baccalaureate, and the recent tradition of having parent-student presentations was ably continued by Charisma Kundan and father, and Atirav Gupta and mother. The address was by former chaplain Brian Dunn, invited back by a class who had the utmost respect for him during his time at the school.

And now the Quad is filled with a strange silence.. until August begins another year at Woodstock.
