New student orientation

The Woodstock family welcomed 12 new students this semester, who have joined the school in various classes ranging from Grade 2-11. Tuesday the 9th of February was a day for new students (some with their parents or guardians) to get a chance to meet their teachers, advisors, and take a tour of the school.

New students and parents were greeted by the Admissions Office and other staff members at the Quad Dining Room on Tuesday morning. Following this, the principal Dr. David Laurenson held a meeting with the families in the Quad Library where the new parents, students, and Woodstock staff were introduced to each other.

For the rest of the day, the students took a tour of the school with their class teachers or advisors. Music students gave auditions in the music department building and the students also found time to meet with the liaison and travel officers. Tours were held in the libraries, the computer lab, as well as the health center.

After lunch, High School students selected their courses at the High School Chemistry Lab with their teachers.

Orientation ended later in the afternoon, after which the new students bid farewell to their families, prepared to begin a new adventure with Woodstock School.
