Palm Sunday chapel service

Palm Sunday chapel began unusually with a procession from the Quad behind a donkey. The Elementary School students lined the route with palm branches and ushered all the students, staff and guests into the gym.

The chapel programme explored the significance of the day in the Christian story through music, video, slides and, the centrepiece, a series of chat show-type interviews with students taking on the roles of people present in Jerusalem ono that day -from disciples to children to the High Priest Caiaphas and the members of the Sanhedrin.

Worship was led by a combined staff-high school choir, by the school's student worship team, and by a soloist and violinist, accompanied by piano - again, all students. Following the service, the congregation were invited to return to the Quad via the High School ramp, where the way was marked by artwork featuring the stations of the cross. Hot chocolate and hot cross buns made a satisfying end to the day.
