Gym opening

The eagerly awaited, world-class gymnasium was finally unveiled to the school's students, staff, board members, alumni, and other distinguished guests at a gala event held at the gym on September 18th. The multi-level building spanning over 26,000 square feet was dedicated to Win Mumby '42.

Members of Mumby's family, including his brother Hugh, his daughter Lynn, and his nephew Marc were amongst the special guests. The Mumby family, along with chief donor and board member Frederick S. Downs Jr. unfurled the Woodstock banners at the new basketball court to officially declare the gym open. It was immediately turned into a dance venue, as a Mumbai DJ and a laser light show helped students and others to celebrate the opening in an appropriately contemporary way.
