Class of 2011

The class of 2011

What do I think of when someone asks me about the Class of 2011? What are the characteristics that make them stand out amongst all the classes I have known? Here are my reflections.

  • Wanting to make a difference: that is why they could think of raising funds for the employees' children's education and helping to build a library in Jordi Village.
  • Creative: they dreamt up the idea of a Goal-a-thon to raise funds for people in need – an idea which has really taken off in the school.
  • Fun loving/adventurous: our last class night was a scavenger hunt—you should have seen how they ALL got together and did silly things to complete the challenge.
  • Talented: the class had varied talents in photography, writing, music, singing, sports, dancing (all kinds), involvement in CARE.
  • Academically able: quite a few of them got into good colleges. 56% went to the US Universities.
  • United: particularly into their Senior year, they pulled together and were very helpful to each other especially in their academic needs.

I hope I have done justice to a very memorable class.
