A community founded on Christian principles and values, which strives for excellence in academics, leadership and service. A school of distinction in South Asia, with a worldwide impact. An institution with a proud history – and an exciting future.

"It's a privilege to be in such an International community. The wide range of people's backgrounds and experiences is amazing. There are many talented students and a huge range of activities happening in a close-knit and caring community. This is even without mentioning the foothills of the Himalayas!"

Why come to Woodstock?

The school: Asia's oldest international boarding school, and one of the premier schools of India. The community: staff and students from around the world - a kaleidoscope of experiences. The setting: high in the Himalayan foothills, surrounded by forest, with the snow peaks in sight. One of the great trekking areas of the world. The culture: hill villages, the holy cities of Hinduism, one of the world's largest fastest-growing economies — India has fascinated visitors for hundreds of years. The work experience: a strong academic curriculum is supported by a vibrant co-curricular programmed and a holistic residence curriculum. A great place to build your career and gain cross-cultural experience.

What kind of people work here?

Woodstock School has about 150 staff. Half are from India and half from other parts of the world such as the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Singapore. They work in administration, teaching, residences and support services. Many are Christians, and others are followers of most of the major world religions. Some stay for a couple of years, others make a much longer commitment. What they have in common is a love of learning, a love of the Indian Himalayan environment, a commitment to our vision and values, and a sense of adventure.
