The Lyre Tree Society
The Lyre Tree Society represents the unshakeable loyalty of our alumni. Its members have all made charitable provisions for Woodstock School in their estate plans. Some have established planned giving bequests through wills and trusts, others have created lifetime income for themselves or family members by means of Charitable Gift Annuities. The Friends of Woodstock School Foundation, (External Link) in partnership with the Presbyterian Church (USA) Foundation, can advise you on the different options available. You can also seek the advice of your personal financial planner.
During this time of economic uncertainty, when many of us have seen our investments shrink, it is difficult to know whether we can make a meaningful donation to Woodstock. Joining the Lyre Tree Society is a wise and generous choice. By naming the school as a beneficiary in a will, or through other planned giving opportunities, alumni can conserve and consolidate their resources while still contributing to the future of Woodstock.
If you are in the US, and you are interested in knowing more about how to best ensure that your resources are used to benefit your heirs as well as Woodstock, please contact David Wheeler at Friends of Woodstock School Foundation (External Link) at 425-353-8422 or dwheeler (at) fwsfoundation.org David can arrange for a professional financial planner from the Presbyterian Foundation to visit or call you to discuss your estate plan. Ways of benefiting Woodstock through a planned gift are detailed on the Friends of Woodstock School website (External Link). Those outside the US who have made a bequest to the school are invited to contact the Director of Development at Woodstock School (alumni (at) woodstock.ac.in) to have their names added to the roll of honour.
