For Newly-Appointed Staff

We're so Glad You Are Joining us!

Welcome to the Woodstock family! We believe you will enjoy living and working in this community. We have gathered the following information to help you in your preparations, particularly if you are coming from outside India. If there is anything else you want to know, please email newhires@woodstock.ac.in and we'll be glad to get the answer for you.

You will be asigned a "buddy" shorly that you can correspond with them about living at Woodstock, just ask and we'll see what we can do. Please bear in mind that the information you receive other than from the Community Relations Department is offered in good faith, but is a matter of personal experience and opinion, and should be treated as such. If you have any doubts, or need a definitive answer, email wsnewhires@woodstock.ac.in.

You will also receive an invitation to join a Facebook group for our new staff so you can begin to get to know eachother and ask questions there are well. Your buddy's will also be members.

The Staff Handbook

This contains accumulated wisdom from those who have come before. Use this as your main reference. We update it regularly. You can print a copy from your browser.

Downloads

  • Medical Form: You need to complete this, then either fax it or scan/email it to us before you arrive.
  • Benefits packages: a little complicated, but it will help you work out what the school provides financially and practically. Your specific salary will be notified individually, of course; what you see here are for guidance only.
  • If your children are coming with you to Woodstock, you will want to look at the academics section of this website and at the admissions section.

Staff Blogs

Nowadays the first thing most people do is look for the unauthorised material contained in people's blogs, so we've made it easy for you by including those we know about (if you find any others, please send us a link). Not all of them have a particular Woodstock focus, but often the early entries are helpful to see what people's first impressions were and what life is like living in India.
