The Win Mumby tournament opened yesterday with a special pep rally featuring Woodstock School’s Jazz Band and dance performances from Woodstock students. The tournament was officially opened by special guest and basketball legend Vishesh Bhriguvanshi of India’s men’s basketball team.

There was a great spirit of friendly competition throughout, with three games played on the first day.

In the boys’ competition, the Asian School, Dehradun won the first game against Woodstock, 51 to 32. Welham Boy’s School, Dehradun, beat Bangalore International School 65 to 37.

In the girls’ competition, Woodstock won against Sacred Soul’s School, Mohali, 43 to 36.

The tournament continues in earnest today, with five games in the pool stage of both the boys and girls competitions.
