Update on Earthquakes in Nepal

12 May Update on Earthquakes in Nepal

Another earthquake (magnitude of 7.4) occurred this afternoon. Strong tremors were felt in Nepal and across Northern India. The latest earthquake had an epicenter 83km east of Kathmandu, in a rural area close to the Chinese border. It struck at a depth of 18.5km (11.5 miles), according to the US Geological Survey. News reports continue to come in from affected areas. There are no immediate reports of damage to buildings in Kathmandu.

While light tremors were felt by some, Woodstock facilities were unaffected.

Many of our Nepali students have already been in touch with their families and to our knowledge there are no injuries to relatives of Woodstock students.
