Let’s make WWD 2015 even bigger than it was last year!

18 Sep Let’s make WWD 2015 even bigger than it was last year!

Worldwide Woodstock Day was established in 2009 as an annual celebration of the “bonds that connect us, despite the distances that separate us.” Over seventy gatherings and gestures took place within a 24 hour period on every continent but Antarctica.

Join in this year by offering a gesture of support in celebration of WOSA. You can organize a small or large gathering or you can simply be creative and think of some small symbolic way you can remember the Woodstock Old Students Association within the 24 hours of Saturday, October 17th.

Why not call a classmate, send a postcard from your hometown to the alumni office, write or phone a former teacher who had an impact on your life, or post some memories of Woodstock on the Woodstock Facebook page (www.facebook.com/Woodstockschool).

An important part is to let the alumni office know as soon as possible what you plan to do and where you plan to do it so that we can help you with pictures, videos or anything else you may need. Please support Worldwide Woodstock Day on Saturday, October 17th. Let’s make WWD 2015 even bigger than it was last year! Contact us at alumni@woodstock.ac.in.

As far as I know, I am the only Woodstock Alum in Kyrgyzstan. So on World Woodstock Day I will phone my sister (Mary Jean Moreno — Crain ’54) in Texas. That day is also her birthday.

Sorry people but unless something unlikely has happened you will have to scrap Togo from the WWD celebrations.

There will be a WOSA gathering on Saturday, October 17 at noon in Belmont, CA at Peacock’s Koriander Restaurant for people who live San Francisco, the Peninsula and South Bay. An Evite has been sent to about 70 people. If you did not receive an email, please let me know. All are welcome to come— just let me know, since I am making reservations for us. Good conversation and food!
