Take Your Seat in Parker Hall!
Commemorate your time in Parker Hall and keep the Parker Hall legacy alive by helping Woodstock make renovations that will improve capacity, technology, and function while retaining its iconic character. These upgrades will not only provide a better performance and event space; they will also help accommodate groups for assemblies and meetings.
Designed by award-winning heritage architect Aishwarya Tipnis and based on input from our community, these renovations will achieve an incredible synergy of excellent performance space and technology, safety, sustainability, and heritage preservation.
Donate Towards a Seat!
Imagine your name etched into the history of Parker Hall. Dedicate and name a seat in iconic Parker Hall as renovations take place over the next year. This is a wonderful opportunity for classes reuniting, friends coming together, or family members being honored through these dedications.
Friends of Woodstock School (FWS) and Woodstock School are collaborating to raise funds for the renovation of Parker Hall. This project will enhance the hall’s capacity, technology, and functionality while preserving its historic character. Upgrades will provide a better space for performances and events as well as accommodate larger assemblies and meetings and make the space more flexible overall.
Friends of Woodstock School will match all donations up to a total of $500,000 in support of Parker Hall renovations. This match applies to any donations made globally, whether made directly through Woodstock directly or through Friends of Woodstock School (FWS) or Canadian Friends of Woodstock.
The seating naming options include:
- Premium Seats $2,500: Balcony wings
- VIP Seats $2,000: First and second rows ground level and balcony
- General Seats $800
While quotes and messages are not permitted, plaques may be personalized with names and brief dedications (subject to character limitations and Woodstock School’s approval).
AV Heroes Needed!
We are looking for 10 AV Heroes to help raise USD 10,000 each. With matching support from FWS, the new Parker Hall AV system will be well on its way to being fully funded. A plaque honoring up to 10 AV Heroes will be prominently displayed in the newly renovated Parker Hall, ensuring their legacy.
This initiative is a class fundraising effort where classes are expected to raise USD 10,000 for their nominated AV Hero, which will be matched by FWS. Together, this will fund the new AV system for Parker Hall.
If a class nominates an AV Hero and raises USD 5,000, Eva and Marlin Schoonmaker have generously offered to contribute the remaining amount in memory of David Schoonmaker ‘62.
If you know of any outstanding legends in AV, especially those who have continued their careers in the field, we’d love to hear from you. Please share their names with us at alumni@woodstock.ac.in.
For those in the US, please contact FWS at dwheeler@fwsfou
