Making sense of what comes next – College Admissions

The future can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be confusing. In this engaging afternoon summer course, students will learn what truly shapes college admissions decisions and how to plan ahead by creating personalised timelines that reduce stress and build confidence. Taught by a college counsellor with over 2 decades of experience working with students across the globe, and first-hand visits to universities worldwide. The aim of the course is to guide students on what best fit really means, beyond rankings and grades. The program includes real-world examples, interactive discussions, and reflective exercises to help students understand themselves better and make informed choices about their future.

 

 

 

 

Baking

Learn to make a range of delicious dishes and mouth-watering baked wares with this afternoon activity. Whether you’re off to college and want to impress your new housemates with your culinary skills, or just want to learn to make healthy delicious snacks, this course is a superb way to learn how to make, bake and create in the kitchen.

 

 

 

 

 

Bead Jewelry Crafting

Explore the colourful world of Bead Jewelry crafting. If you are someone who loves being creative and gets excited when you see colourful beads and strings then this afternoon course is for you.  You will get to express your artistic flair and make unique personalised accessories. With a rainbow of colours, shapes and sizes of beads along with strings of all kinds, you will have endless possibilities for crafting beautiful and stylish jewelry. You can experiment with various bead material such as glass, wood, and crocheted beads. So sign-up and unleash your imagination, and start crafting your own dazzling pieces of wearable art from friendship bracelets to charm bracelets and dream catchers. Cooking

The last three years saw a sudden surge in the number of home chefs! If you are one of them, or have an interest in cooking new interesting mouth watering cuisines, then this is the right activity for you to enrol into. Please specify if you are vegetarian or non-vegetarian.

 

 

 

 

 

Guitar

A crash course in the basics of playing guitar for beginners. Students will learn how everything they need to know to take their first steps in guitar, from how to hold the instrument, to basic chords, strumming and picking techniques and how to read and play simple tunes. By the end of the course, participants will be able to give a small recital of songs they’ve learnt and accompany popular songs with simple strumming patterns.

 

 

 

Jiu Jitsu

Jiu Jitsu is a form of martial art and method of fighting that makes use of few or no weapons and employs throws, holds and submissions to subdue an opponent. The core point oj jiu Jitsu is survival but it can also be used in sports like MMA ( Mixed Martial Arts). During the program, students will learn a variety of techniques on how to effectively control someone on the ground, techniques such as arm blocks, triangle chokes and wrestling take-downs are just some of the many moves that can be used for self defence.

 

 

 

 

 

Rock Climbing

Climbing is a journey of growth, challenge, and self-discovery. The curriculum is designed to guide students at every step of the way, whether new to climbing, looking to refine their technique or becoming more adept. Students will gain hands-on experience with climbing gear, it’s usage and care, knots & hitches, bouldering and rock-climbing fundamentals emphasizing safety. Students will incorporate international best practices for climbing and belaying, thus ensuring the safety of the participants. Students will gain strength, confidence, and develop the necessary skills to move efficiently, conserve energy, and stay relaxed. It is about learning, having fun, and pushing limits in a supportive environment.

 

 

 

 

 

Sports

Participate in a variety of team sports within the Gym, learn the basic skills and apply them in game situations.  The variety of sports will/may include mainstream internationally played sports, indigenous/cultural games and improvised invasion games. The main focus will be to develop social skills irrespective of age and gender through healthy competition.

 

 

 

 

Pottery

The workshop is designed to train students through a fun, mindful and creative process. The unconstrained nature of clay always gives way to freedom of one’s expression and working with clay has also been scientifically proven to be a deeply meditative and therapeutic process. It hopes to give participants a short experience of artistic therapy through this engaging workshop.

 

 

Dance

During this course, students will focus on the basic dance steps and terminology of dance moves. They will also learn about the importance of facial expressions which is a very important part of Bollywood dance. This will be a chance for student to learn some desi moves which will vary from ‘blast from the past’ to the ‘new age Bollywood’ style of dancing. The idea is to let loose and enjoy their time.

 

 

 

Cartooning

Cartooning is a fun way to build observation skills, express yourself, help journal your thoughts, and have fun creating. We will focus on creating a character and building a comic strip around that character. The aim is to think outside the box with limited screen time.

 

 

 

 

Cycling

Designed for students in grade 7 and above, this program is perfect for those with some cycling skills and a basic fitness level. Riders will explore the beautiful hills of Mussoorie and Landour, navigating uphill and downhill routes, all while enjoying the scenic beauty beyond the school campus. Students will develop essential cycling skills throughout the program, including basic maintenance, gear combinations, and proper cycling techniques. Whether you’re looking to improve your fitness or enjoy a fun and adventurous way to discover the surroundings, our cycling program offers a perfect mix of both.

Swimming

Nestled amidst breathtaking hills, our swimming course perfectly blends nature and adventure. Surrounded by lush greenery and fresh mountain air, participants will enjoy learning or refining their swimming skills in a scenic and safe environment. With activities ranging from stroke improvement to endurance challenges and fun water-based games, this course makes swimming exciting and refreshing. The serene yet invigorating atmosphere enhances every moment in the water, making it a truly memorable experience. Join us for a summer of splashes, skill-building, and scenic beauty—where every stroke is a dive into nature’s embrace!

Tennis

Two weeks of intensive tennis training for beginner and intermediate players, led by an ITF-certified coach. This course offers an excellent opportunity to introduce the game of tennis and build correct playing technique for those who are just starting out. It also supports the development of intermediate players who wish to advance their skills both technically and tactically. Training at high altitude provides a unique natural environment that enhances physical conditioning and cardiovascular fitness. The course will be conducted using the Play and Stay methodology of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). From the very first lesson, students will focus on real game situations, learning how to serve, return, and keep score. There will be no monotonous basket drills, long waits to hit the ball, or lengthy theory sessions. Instead, learning will take place in a fun, dynamic, and engaging way—an approach proven to be the most effective. This summer, we are bringing the ITF Play and Stay methodology to Woodstock for an exciting and meaningful tennis experience.

AI Unlocked

The course introduces students to the exciting world of Artificial Intelligence combined with coding. Over two weeks, students will explore how AI tools can be used to generate ideas, create images, design simple projects, and solve real-world challenges. They will experiment with tools they may never have used before, while learning how to work responsibly and creatively with AI. Sessions are designed to be interactive and project-based, with a strong focus on creativity, teamwork and exploration. Students will learn how AI can support (not replace) human thinking, and how coding and digital tools can bring their ideas to life. By the end of the course, students will have built a small creative AI project and gained confidence using modern tech tools — all while having fun and trying something completely new.
