Summer at Woodstock – Music Composition and Production

Write and produce your music

Learn how to write songs, lyrics and instrumentals, and how to record the songs in a modern studio. Take this course if you have an interest in poetry, song writing, music, and music technology. You don’t have to be a musician, as long as you love music and are ready to dig into making it! By the end of this course, you will be able to create songs from scratch, write your own lyrics and create electronic arrangements. You will be able to record instruments and voices, making professional-quality recordings. We’ll even cover how the music industry works, and how song-writers get paid in this digital era.

Who should take this course?

This course should be taken by anyone who has interest in poetry, song writing, music, and music technology. You don’t have to be a musician to take this class, as long as you love music and are ready to dig into making it yourself.

Aditya Manral, Singer Songwriter and Dorm Supervisor, Woodstock School

Aditya (Ady) is passionate about music and songwriting, and is an established singer-song-writer in the indie (independent) music scene in India. Ady has worked with renowned music producers, collaborated with YouTube stars and had his music reviewed by almost all known publications, including the Rolling Stone India and Rock Street Journal. His music combines acoustic melodies with simple bi-lingual song-writing structures. He is also the co-founder and director of ‘The Big Gig’, a local music festival in Mussoorie, and has hosted several other local music events.
